  • 1 lb chicken breast thinly sliced
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables e.g., bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, snap peas
  • 2-3 tbsp vegetable or sesame oil
Basic Stir Fry Sauce
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp chicken broth or water
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp honey or sugar
  • garlic and ginger optional, minced
Optional Toppings
  • sesame seeds
  • green onions sliced
  • lime juice or chili flakes optional, for flavor

Method
 

  1. Prep your ingredients: slice chicken, chop vegetables, and mix the sauce in a bowl.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until mostly done.
  3. Push chicken to the side. Add another drizzle of oil and stir-fry the vegetables for 2–3 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Pour in the sauce. Stir everything together until coated and heated through. Sauce should thicken.
  5. Serve hot over rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.
