- Peel and slice the carrots into evenly sized sticks or rounds, about ¼ to ½ inch thick.
- Melt butter in a medium skillet over medium heat until slightly bubbling.
- Add the carrots and stir to coat with the melted butter.
- Drizzle honey over the carrots and stir gently until evenly glazed.
- Season with a pinch of salt and a dash of black pepper to taste.
- Cover the skillet and reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer for 8–10 minutes, stirring once or twice, until carrots are tender.
- Uncover and raise heat slightly to reduce and thicken the glaze for 1–2 minutes.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
Try adding a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg for a warm twist. You can also use baby carrots if you’re in a hurry—just watch cooking time to avoid mushiness.
