  • 1 lb beef flank steak or sirloin thinly sliced
  • 8 oz noodles egg, rice, or udon noodles
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot julienned
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
Sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch optional, for marinating beef

Method
 

  1. Slice beef thinly against the grain and marinate with soy sauce and cornstarch (optional) for 10 minutes.
  2. Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add beef and sear quickly until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. Stir fry garlic, ginger, and vegetables until crisp-tender.
  5. Return beef to the pan, add cooked noodles, and pour in sauce mixture. Toss until everything is coated and heated through.
  6. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

To customize, add chili flakes for heat or hoisin sauce for sweetness. Use gluten-free soy sauce and rice noodles for a gluten-free version. Fresh herbs and lime juice add brightness.
