Method
- Warm the milk and dissolve the sugar and yeast. Let it sit until foamy, about 5–10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Add melted butter, eggs, and yeast mixture. Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth. Let rise for 1 hour.
- In a separate bowl, mix the filling ingredients: melted butter, brown sugar, cocoa powder, cinnamon, and chocolate chips.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread the chocolate filling, roll tightly, and slice into 12 rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and the centers are cooked through.
- Optional: Brush with melted chocolate or glaze. Serve warm for best taste.
Notes
For extra gooey rolls, brush with butter right after baking and cover for 10 minutes. Store at room temp for 3 days or freeze for 2 months.
