Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice sausage into thick rounds. Cut pineapple into chunks if using fresh.
- In a large bowl, combine sausage, pineapple, teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, and garlic powder. Toss to coat evenly.
- Spread mixture on a baking tray. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through for even caramelization.
- Remove from oven. Skewer each sausage and pineapple piece onto toothpicks. Garnish with sesame seeds if using.
- Serve warm with extra teriyaki sauce on the side if desired.
Notes
You can customize these bites by adding bell peppers, chili flakes for heat, or even using maple syrup instead of brown sugar. They also freeze well for up to a month.
