Fries Base
  • 1 bag frozen French fries
Taco Meat
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1 cup lettuce chopped
  • 1 cup tomatoes diced
Crispy Tortilla Strips
  • 3 tortillas (flour or corn) cut into strips
  • oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Bake or air fry the frozen French fries according to package instructions until golden and crispy.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or turkey until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add taco seasoning and a small amount of water. Simmer until thickened and flavorful.
  4. Cut tortillas into thin strips. Heat oil in a pan and fry the strips until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Place cooked fries on a serving plate. Top with taco meat and shredded cheese, allowing the cheese to melt slightly.
  6. Add lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, and finish with crispy tortilla strips. Serve immediately.

Notes

Customize with your favorite toppings like jalapeƱos, queso, or guacamole. For a lighter option, bake the tortilla strips instead of frying.
