Ingredients

Crackers & Coating
  • 1 sleeve Saltine crackers plain
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp BBQ sauce your favorite brand
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper optional, for heat

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Mixing Bowl

Method

  1. Preheat your smoker to 200°F (93°C) or oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. Spread Saltine crackers in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together vegetable oil, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if using.
  4. Drizzle the BBQ mixture over the crackers. Gently toss to coat each cracker evenly. They should be glossy, not soggy.
