- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 8 oval patties.
- (Optional) In a skillet over medium heat, brown the patties on both sides for about 2 minutes per side.
- Place sliced onions on the bottom of the slow cooker. Arrange patties on top.
- In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and mustard. Pour over patties.
- Cover and cook on Low for 6–8 hours or on High for 3–4 hours.
- Serve patties hot with gravy over mashed potatoes, noodles, or rice.
Notes
Make ahead, freeze for later, or swap with ground turkey for a lighter version. For thicker gravy, add a cornstarch slurry at the end.
