- Cut bread into 1-inch cubes and place in a large mixing bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, pumpkin purée, maple syrup, and pumpkin pie spice until smooth.
- Pour the pumpkin mixture over the bread cubes and gently toss until evenly coated. Let sit for 5–10 minutes to absorb.
- Heat butter in a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Cook soaked bread cubes in batches, turning until all sides are golden brown and crisp.
- Serve warm with maple syrup, powdered sugar, or your favorite toppings.
- Air Fryer Option: Arrange coated bread cubes on parchment paper in an air fryer basket. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway through.
