Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 3 bell peppers red, green, yellow; diced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cans diced tomatoes 14.5 oz each
  • 1 can tomato sauce 15 oz
  • 2–3 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper optional, for heat
  • salt and pepper to taste

  • shredded cheddar
  • sour cream
  • green onions sliced

Method
 

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Add the diced onion and bell peppers to the skillet and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in the garlic, chili powder, cumin, and smoked paprika. Toast the spices for 1 minute.
  4. Transfer the beef and veggie mixture into your crockpot. Add diced tomatoes and tomato sauce.
  5. Cook on low for 6–8 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, stirring occasionally if possible.
  6. Serve hot in bowls. Top with cheddar, sour cream, or green onions as desired.

Notes

For extra spice, stir in fresh jalapeños or hot sauce. This chili is great over sweet potatoes, pasta, or nachos!
