Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • salt pinch
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp butter melted
  • butter for the pan

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and melted butter.
  3. Slowly add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until the batter is smooth. Do not overmix.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of butter.
  5. Pour a small ladle of batter into the pan and cook until bubbles appear on the surface. Flip and cook the other side until golden brown.
  6. Serve warm with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, fresh berries, honey, or powdered sugar. Enjoy with a cup of afternoon coffee.
