Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 12 oz smoked sausage sliced
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Large Skillet

Method

  1. Rinse the shrimp and pat dry. Slice the smoked sausage and cut broccoli into bite-sized florets.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sausage slices and cook until browned, about 3 minutes per side.
  3. Add broccoli florets and sauté until bright green and slightly tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. Push sausage and broccoli to the side. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes on each side, until pink and opaque.
  5. Add minced garlic and sauté briefly. Then drizzle honey and soy sauce over the skillet. Toss everything to coat well.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.

Notes

To switch things up, try asparagus or snap peas instead of broccoli, or swap sausage for chicken. Add red pepper flakes for a spicy twist.
