Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1.5 lbs flank steak or chuck steak, thinly sliced
  • 3 cups broccoli florets added at the end
Sauce
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1 cup beef broth
Slurry
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with water
  • 2 tbsp water for slurry

Method
 

  1. Slice the beef thinly against the grain.
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and beef broth.
  3. Add beef and sauce mixture into the slow cooker. Cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  4. 30 minutes before serving, add broccoli florets to the slow cooker.
  5. Mix cornstarch and water into a slurry. Stir into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
  6. Serve hot over rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.

Notes

You can brown the beef beforehand for added flavor. Add bell peppers or carrots for extra veggies. Store leftovers in the fridge for 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
