  • 1 lb ground beef lean preferred
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 14 oz diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups dry macaroni pasta
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella optional

Method
 

  1. Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. Stir well.
  4. Add beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and dry macaroni. Stir to combine.
  5. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook for 12–15 minutes until pasta is tender and sauce thickens.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella over the top, cover again for a few minutes to melt (optional).
  7. Serve hot and enjoy with your favorite sides!

Notes

You can swap ground beef with lentils or plant-based crumbles for a vegetarian option. Add extra veggies like bell peppers or mushrooms for more nutrition.
