- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with holiday paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda.
- In a separate bowl, mix eggs, melted butter (or oil), milk, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
- Fill muffin cups about 2/3 full and bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let muffins cool completely before decorating.
- Spread frosting on each muffin. Add two pretzels for antlers, candy eyes, and a red candy nose to create the reindeer face.
Notes
Get creative with decorations – try peppermint frosting, edible glitter, or crushed candy canes. Make ahead and freeze undecorated muffins for quick assembly during the holidays.
