Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • fresh parsley for garnish

Equipment

  • Slow Cooker

Method

  1. Place the chicken breasts into the slow cooker. Season them generously with paprika, Italian seasoning, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, combine melted butter and minced garlic. Pour the mixture evenly over the chicken. Add the chicken broth around the sides of the crockpot.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or high for 3–4 hours until the chicken becomes tender and juicy.
  4. About 20 minutes before serving, stir in the heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Let the sauce thicken slightly while the flavors blend together.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot over mashed potatoes, pasta, rice, or roasted vegetables.

Notes

For extra flavor, lightly sear the chicken before adding it to the crockpot. Chicken thighs can also be used for a juicier result.
