  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium cabbage chopped
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes optional
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup beef broth

Method
 

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  2. Add chopped cabbage, diced onion, and minced garlic to the crockpot.
  3. Layer the cooked ground beef on top of the vegetables.
  4. Sprinkle paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper over the mixture. Pour in beef broth and diced tomatoes.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or high for 3–4 hours until cabbage is tender.
  6. About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top. Cover and let melt.

Notes

For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes or swap cheeses like pepper jack. You can also substitute ground turkey for a lighter version.
