Method
- Generously season each steak with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet and sear the steaks for a few minutes on each side until browned.
- Place sliced onions and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Layer the seared steaks on top of the onions and garlic.
- In a bowl, mix beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, thyme, and rosemary. Pour over the beef.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 8–10 hours or on HIGH for 5–6 hours, until beef is tender and falling apart.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving. Spoon sauce over top as desired.
Notes
You can thicken the sauce by mixing 1 tbsp cornstarch with water and stirring it in 20 minutes before the end of cooking. Freeze leftovers for up to 3 months.
