Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2-3 pounds beef roast chuck or round
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 12 oz egg noodles added near the end
  • optional vegetables like carrots or mushrooms

Equipment

  • Slow Cooker
  • Skillet

Method

  1. Generously season the beef roast with salt and pepper.
  2. Optional: In a hot skillet, sear the beef on all sides until browned to add extra flavor.
  3. Place beef, sliced onion, minced garlic, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce into the slow cooker.
  4. Cook on LOW for 8–10 hours or HIGH for 4–6 hours until the beef is tender.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the egg noodles. Cook until noodles are tender.
  6. Serve hot, optionally garnished with parsley or over mashed potatoes.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use homemade beef broth. You can also add vegetables like mushrooms or carrots for extra heartiness. Freeze before adding noodles if storing for later.
