Ingredients
  

  • 3 lb chuck roast well-marbled
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
  • 1 cup beef broth or low-sodium
  • 4 carrots peeled and cut into chunks
  • 4 potatoes cut into chunks

Method
 

  1. Season the chuck roast generously with salt and pepper (optional).
  2. Place the roast in the Crockpot.
  3. Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix evenly over the roast.
  4. Add the carrots and potatoes around the roast.
  5. Pour the beef broth over the ingredients.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the roast is tender and falls apart easily.

Notes
