- Boil salted water in a large pot. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve ½ cup pasta water.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Drain excess grease if needed.
- Push beef to one side, melt butter in the skillet, and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Lower heat, pour in heavy cream, and simmer 2–3 minutes. Gradually add cheddar and parmesan cheese, stirring until smooth. Add reserved pasta water if sauce is too thick.
- Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet, toss until coated, and cook together for 2 minutes. Garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
This dish is perfect for weeknight dinners and is easily customizable. Add mushrooms, spinach, or swap ground beef for turkey or chicken.
