  • 4 corn dogs store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup chili beef or turkey, heated
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or Monterey Jack
  • diced onions optional
  • jalapeños optional, for spice
  • mustard or sour cream for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place corn dogs on a baking tray and bake until golden and crispy, about 10-12 minutes.
  3. While the corn dogs bake, heat the chili in a saucepan until hot and thick.
  4. Remove corn dogs from the oven and spoon hot chili over each one.
  5. Top with shredded cheese and return to the oven for 5 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  6. Garnish with diced onions, jalapeños, mustard, or sour cream as desired. Serve warm.

Notes

You can easily customize this recipe by using turkey chili for a lighter version, or by turning it into a casserole for serving a crowd. Also works well with air-fried corn dogs!
