Method
- Prepare all ingredients: slice the sausage, cut the chicken, and chop the vegetables.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown.
- Add the sausage, peppers, and onion. Cook for about 5 minutes until vegetables are tender and sausage starts to crisp.
- Stir in garlic, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook for another minute to combine flavors.
- Add rice and stir to coat with the mixture. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18–20 minutes until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
- Fluff rice with a fork, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
Customize the dish with your favorite vegetables or spices. For a healthier twist, use brown rice or add greens like spinach toward the end.
