- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook pasta shells in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until beef is no longer pink and onions are softened.
- Stir in taco seasoning and a splash of water. Let it simmer until thickened.
- Mix in shredded cheeses (reserving some for topping). Stir in cream cheese if using, until melted and combined.
- Fill each cooked shell with the taco beef mixture.
- Spread a thin layer of taco sauce in the bottom of a baking dish. Arrange stuffed shells on top.
- Top with remaining shredded cheese and bake for 15–20 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with your favorite toppings and serve warm.
Notes
These shells can be prepped ahead and even frozen. Try customizing with beans, veggies, or different meats to suit your taste.
