- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Boil and mash the potatoes with butter and milk until creamy and smooth.
- In a skillet, sauté onions and garlic until fragrant, then add ground beef. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix in peas and carrots.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased casserole dish. Layer the mashed potatoes on top and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and slightly browned. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Feel free to mix cheeses, add herbs like thyme or rosemary, or try ground turkey or chicken instead of beef.
