Main Ingredients
  • 3 to 4 pounds Butterball boneless turkey breast ideal for the Crockpot
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth or turkey broth
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary crushed
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust based on broth saltiness

  • 1 onion quartered
  • 2 to 3 carrots cut into chunks
  • 2 to 3 celery stalks cut into chunks

Method
 

  1. Lightly spray the inside of your Crockpot with non-stick spray or rub with butter. If using vegetables, layer them on the bottom.
  2. In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pat the turkey breast dry and brush all over with melted butter. Rub seasoning mix evenly onto the turkey.
  4. Place the seasoned turkey on top of the vegetables (if using) or directly in the Crockpot. Pour broth around (not over) the turkey.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Optional: For a browned top, transfer the turkey to a baking sheet and broil for 3–5 minutes.
  7. Let the turkey rest for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain. Serve warm.

Notes

You can use leftover cooking liquid and vegetables to make a quick gravy. Prep the turkey ahead and store it seasoned in the fridge overnight for extra convenience.
