Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil good-quality
  • salt and black pepper to taste
Optional Add-ins
  • garlic powder or minced garlic
  • 1–2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar for balsamic twist
  • parmesan cheese optional, for serving
  • red pepper flakes optional, to taste

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  2. Rinse and dry the Brussels sprouts thoroughly. Cut them in half if not already done.
  3. In a bowl, toss the sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings like garlic powder.
  4. Place the sprouts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, without overcrowding.
  5. Air fry for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Add extra time (up to 18 minutes) for larger sprouts or extra crispiness.
  6. Once cooked, taste and adjust seasoning. Optionally drizzle with balsamic vinegar or sprinkle with parmesan before serving.

Notes

Make sure sprouts are very dry before air frying for best crispiness. Don’t overcrowd the basket, and shake halfway for even cooking. Try a balsamic drizzle or parmesan topping for extra flavor.
