- Peel the carrots and cut them into ½-inch slices or sticks.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add carrots and simmer for 8–10 minutes until just tender. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add brown sugar and maple syrup. Stir until bubbling and slightly thickened, about 2–3 minutes.
- Add drained carrots to the skillet. Toss to coat in the glaze. Simmer for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until glossy and golden.
- Optional: Add a pinch of cinnamon or fresh thyme before serving for extra flavor.
Notes
Make ahead tip: You can prep the carrots and glaze the day before. Just reheat with a splash of maple syrup before serving. For added depth, try roasting the carrots instead of boiling.
