Ingredients
  

Base
  • 2 naan breads or pre-made pizza crusts can substitute with homemade dough
Taco Meat
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning or 2 tbsp homemade taco spice mix
  • 1/4 cup water
Sauce & Cheese
  • 1/2 cup salsa medium or hot
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Toppings & Garnish
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños optional, for extra heat
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce added after baking
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes added after baking
  • 2 tbsp sour cream for drizzling
  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro for garnish
  • 1 lime cut into wedges for serving

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Place naan or crust on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  2. In a skillet, brown ground beef. Add taco seasoning and water. Simmer until thickened.
  3. Mix salsa and tomato paste. Spread sauce over crust.
  4. Add taco meat, sprinkle cheeses, and top with jalapeños and olives.
  5. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and edges are crispy.
  6. Remove from oven. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, cilantro, and lime juice.

Notes

You can swap the beef for chicken, beans, or plant-based crumbles. Add heat with hot sauce or crushed red pepper. Best served fresh but stores well for 3 days.
