Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190 °C). Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Slice Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the top and bottom halves together like a loaf.
- Layer ham and cheese on the bottom half of the rolls. Replace the top half and press gently.
- Mix melted butter with Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, and garlic/onion powder. Brush over the top of the rolls.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 5–7 minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
- Slice between rolls to serve. Enjoy warm.
Notes
Make ahead tip: Assemble up to 6 hours before and refrigerate. Bake when ready. For variety, swap cheese types or add thin-sliced veggies like pickles or onions.
