Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound green beans fresh, trimmed (or frozen and thawed)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 2 cloves garlic minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • lemon juice or red pepper flakes optional, for serving

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing Bowl

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. Wash and pat dry fresh green beans (or thaw and dry frozen beans). Excess moisture prevents crisping.
  3. Toss green beans in a mixing bowl with olive oil (or melted butter), minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add Parmesan cheese and mix until beans are evenly coated.
  5. Place beans in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  6. Transfer to a serving dish. Optional: squeeze lemon juice or sprinkle red pepper flakes. Serve immediately.

Notes

Don't overcrowd the basket—cook in batches for best results. Parmesan may stick, so soak the basket after cooking for easy cleanup. Works with frozen beans too, just dry them well first.
