  • 12 oz (340g) fettuccine or pasta of choice 🍝
  • 2 chicken breasts, diced 🍗
  • 1 tbsp olive oil 🫒
  • 2 tbsp butter 🧈
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced 🧄
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream 🥛
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese 🧀
  • ½ cup basil pesto 🌿
  • ½ tsp salt 🧂
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup pasta water (if needed)
  • Fresh basil, for garnish 🌿
  • Red pepper flakes (optional) 🌶️

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced chicken and season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until golden brown and fully cooked, then remove from the pan.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and stir in Parmesan cheese, letting it melt and thicken for 3–5 minutes.
  • Add pesto and mix well, creating a smooth, flavorful sauce. If needed, stir in a bit of reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
  • Return the cooked pasta and chicken to the skillet, tossing to coat everything in the creamy pesto Alfredo sauce.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and red pepper flakes for an extra kick. Serve warm!
