Ingredients

  • 🍗 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 🌶️ 1 tsp chili powder
  • 🌶️ ½ tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 🧂 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 🧂 ½ tsp onion powder
  • 🧂 ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • 🧂 Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 🫒 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 🍯 ¼ cup honey
  • 🥄 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 🍋 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 🧄 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 🧈 1 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions

  • Season the chicken with chili powder, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  • Stir in honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Return the chicken to the pan, coating it in the glaze. Let it cook for another 2 minutes, basting continuously.
  • Serve hot with rice, veggies, or a fresh salad. Enjoy!
