Ingredients
- 🍗 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 🌶️ 1 tsp chili powder
- 🌶️ ½ tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 🧂 1 tsp garlic powder
- 🧂 ½ tsp onion powder
- 🧂 ½ tsp smoked paprika
- 🧂 Salt and black pepper to taste
- 🫒 2 tbsp olive oil
- 🍯 ¼ cup honey
- 🥄 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 🍋 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 🧄 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 🧈 1 tbsp unsalted butter
Instructions
- Season the chicken with chili powder, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Stir in honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return the chicken to the pan, coating it in the glaze. Let it cook for another 2 minutes, basting continuously.
- Serve hot with rice, veggies, or a fresh salad. Enjoy!
