This Banana Chocolate Chip Bread is ultra-moist, packed with rich banana flavor, and loaded with melty chocolate chips. Perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a sweet snack!


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed 🍌
  • ½ cup (120ml) melted butter or coconut oil 🧈🥥
  • ½ cup (100g) brown sugar 🍯
  • 2 large eggs 🥚
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract 🌿
  • 1 ½ cups (190g) all-purpose flour 🌾
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt 🧂
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional) 🌿
  • ¾ cup (130g) chocolate chips 🍫

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • Mash bananas in a large bowl. Stir in melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Gently fold in the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips, reserving some for the top.
  • Pour batter into the loaf pan, smoothing the top, and sprinkle remaining chocolate chips.
  • Bake for 50–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Slice and enjoy warm!

Notes

Use overripe bananas for the sweetest flavor and moist texture.
Do not overmix to keep the bread soft and tender.
Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top before baking for a gooey finish.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for later!
