Ingredients

Scale

For the Turkey:

  • 1 (4-6 lb) bone-in turkey breast 🦃
  • 1 tbsp olive oil 🫒
  • 1 tsp salt 🧂
  • ½ tsp black pepper 🌿
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika 🌶️

For the Creole Butter:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted 🧈
  • 1 tbsp Creole seasoning 🌶️
  • 1 tsp garlic powder 🧄
  • 1 tsp onion powder 🧅
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat) 🔥
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice 🍋
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped 🌿

Instructions

  • Preheat & prepare – Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C). Pat the turkey breast dry and rub with olive oil, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  • Make the Creole butter – In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Creole seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and parsley.
  • Inject & baste – Using a marinade injector, inject Creole butter into the thickest parts of the turkey breast. Brush the remaining butter all over the skin.
  • Roast low & slow – Place the turkey breast in a roasting pan and cook for 2 ½ to 3 ½ hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Baste every 30-45 minutes for extra moisture.
  • Rest & serve – Let the turkey rest for 15 minutes before slicing. Serve with mashed potatoes, cornbread, or your favorite sides!
